The 2022 meat product competition was held by the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors. And that’s not all – Ken won Reserve Champion awards in five other categories. At the 2021 WAMP Awards, Gempeler’s Alpine Boy won Reserve Grand Champion for Wisconsin Style Bratwurst and Fully Cooked Kalberwurst (Veal Sausage). Alpine Boy Fresh Kalberwurst received a Reserve Champion award and the Old Fashioned Loaf won a Champion award.
The Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors (WAMP) awarded Gempeler’s Supermarket Alpine Boy sausage distinctions in four categories in April 2019. Gempeler’s earned the Reserve Grand Champion award for their Precooked Wisconsin Style Bratwurst (precooked traditional bratwurst category), Precoooked Veal Sausage (specialty ring sausage category), and Beef Strips (restructured jerky category). We also received the Honorable Mention award for our Precooked Hawaiian Bratwurst (precooked flavored bratwurst category). Six more Gempeler’s Alpine Boy entries were ranked in the top ten in their respective product categories.

At the 2013 Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors (WAMP) competition, Gempeler’s Supermarket received Grand Champion awards in two categories!
- Our Alpine Boy Kalberwurst (Old World Swiss Style Veal Sausage) received the Grand Champion Award in the Dinner Sausage category.
- Our Alpine Boy German Slicing Bologna received the Grand Champion Award in the Large Diameter Luncheon - Meat category.
- Our Alpine Boy Veal Loaf lunch meat received Honorable Mention in its category.

At the 2012 WAMP competition, our Alpine Boy Beef Jerky and Beef Snack Sticks earned Reserve Grand Champion awards in their respective categories.
